Why empty legs exist
Private jets fly wherever their clients need them, which means the aircraft often has to fly empty to reach its next pickup or return to base. Rather than fly that sector empty, operators release it at a steep discount.
You get the same aircraft, crew and service as a full charter. The trade-off is that the route and timing follow the aircraft's schedule, so flexibility on date and nearby airports pays off.
How much cheaper is an empty leg than a normal charter?
Typically 50–75% below the standard one-way charter price for the same aircraft, because the operator is flying the sector anyway and any revenue offsets the repositioning cost.
Can an empty leg be cancelled?
Yes. If the original paying charter changes or cancels, the repositioning flight can move or disappear. We always confirm the leg with the operator before you commit and can line up a backup aircraft.
Can I change the departure time or airport?
Small changes are often possible if they fit the aircraft's next booking. Nearby airports and a few hours of flexibility either way widen your options considerably.
Do I pay per seat?
No. Prices shown are for the whole aircraft, so you can bring your full party up to the seat count shown.
