A private jet to Dubai from Singapore is a seven-hour nonstop crossing for the right aircraft. The details that decide cost and comfort are less obvious: which Dubai airport to use, whether your jet can make the sector with a full cabin, and what the regional security picture means for your schedule. This guide covers each of those, with cost estimates built from published rate cards.
How far is Dubai by private jet from Singapore?
The great-circle distance is about 5,842 km, roughly 3,400 nautical miles. The fastest scheduled nonstop takes 7 hours 10 minutes. A private jet is not much quicker in the air. Published planning figures run from about 6 hours 30 minutes in an ultra-long-range jet to around 7 hours 20 minutes in a super-midsize such as the Praetor 600. The saving is on the ground: no check-in queue, and you leave when you choose.
The UAE does not observe daylight saving, so Dubai stays four hours behind Singapore all year. A 08:00 departure from Singapore lands at roughly 11:00 Dubai time, which leaves the whole afternoon for meetings.
Which aircraft can fly a private jet Singapore to Dubai nonstop?
The question is not only range on paper. Headwinds, passengers, bags and fuel reserves all cut into it. Ask any operator for a payload-range check against your actual passenger count, not the brochure figure.
| Aircraft | Published range | Fit for Singapore–Dubai (about 3,400 nm) |
|---|---|---|
| Praetor 600 (super-midsize) | about 4,000 nm | Possible nonstop, but thin margin with a full cabin |
| Falcon 7X | about 5,950 nm | Comfortable nonstop |
| Gulfstream G550 | about 6,750 nm | Comfortable nonstop, about 6 hr 45 min |
| Gulfstream G650ER | up to 7,437 nm | Ample range, up to 16 passengers |
| Bombardier Global 7500 | 7,700 nm | Ample range, separate master suite |
Smaller jets can reach Dubai, but usually with limits. Gulfstream describes the G280 as capable of Singapore to Dubai, based on a demonstrated 3,600 nm range with four passengers. For a group of six or more with luggage, expect a technical stop. A stop adds time and cost, and even technical stops in the UAE need prior GCAA authorisation.
Our rule of thumb:
- One to four passengers, light luggage: a long-range or super-midsize jet, with the operator confirming payload.
- Five to twelve passengers: a G550-class or larger cabin. The G550 carries up to 14 to 19 passengers, though charter layouts are usually smaller.
- Delegations of 20 or more: a VIP airliner, which typically seats 25 to 50-plus.
Al Maktoum private jet operations: DWC or DXB?
Dubai has two options, and the choice matters more than most first-time charterers expect.
Al Maktoum International (DWC / OMDW)
DWC is the default for business aviation. It sits 37 km from central Dubai, about a 30-minute drive, and runs 24/7 with a 4,500-metre runway and dedicated FBOs. The FBOs include Jetex, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim and ExecuJet. One industry listing reports a record 17,891 business aviation movements at Al Maktoum in 2024. Operators like it because DWC is not slot-constrained and usually has ramp space, so your aircraft can stay rather than reposition. That matters on a multi-day trip.
Dubai International (DXB / OMDB)
Private jets are not banned at DXB, as is sometimes claimed. But it has been IATA Level 3 slot-coordinated since 2010, so every movement needs an allocated slot. DXB can suit a tightly fixed schedule where the city-side drive is the priority. If your timings might move, choose DWC.
Looking ahead, the first phase of the expanded Al Maktoum airport is due to open in 2032, and Dubai Airports plans to move DXB operations there by 2032. Expect the FBO landscape to keep shifting towards DWC.
The Singapore end
Most business aircraft use Seletar (WSSL/XSP). It is equipped with customs and immigration facilities and has a single 1,840 m runway. That is short for a heavily fuelled ultra-long-range departure. Some ultra-long-range jets quote maximum-weight takeoff distances of about 6,300 ft, against Seletar's roughly 6,020 ft. Ask the operator to confirm performance from Seletar at your planned weight. Changi's JetQuay terminal handles aircraft too large for Seletar, and it is the fallback.
How much does a private jet to Dubai cost?
Charter is priced per billable flight hour. Published 2026 rate cards put ultra-long-range jets at $12,000 to $17,000 per hour. A second broker's table shows $14,000 to $25,000-plus for the same class. Paramount notes its figures reflect recent jet fuel price increases.
Our estimate for a one-way Singapore–Dubai sector of about seven hours in an ultra-long-range jet:
- Lower rate card ($12,000–$17,000 per hour): roughly $84,000 to $119,000 in flight time.
- Higher rate card ($14,000–$25,000+ per hour): roughly $98,000 to $175,000 or more.
- VIP airliner ($18,000–$23,000 per hour on one card): roughly $126,000 to $161,000.
These are our own estimates, multiplying seven hours by the published hourly ranges. They exclude landing, handling, permits, catering and any crew costs on a round trip. As Paramount notes, total cost also depends on distance, positioning and time of year. If the aircraft is not already at Seletar, you may pay for the empty positioning flight.
For regular travel, compare a one-off quote with jet card rates. For a one-way trip, check live empty legs. Jets repositioning between the Gulf and Asia are the usual source of discounted seats, though availability is unpredictable. One Dubai listing noted that inventory turns over constantly.
Dubai private jet charter: permits, paperwork and timing
The operator handles most of this, but you should know the lead times. For non-scheduled flights, the UAE AIP asks for at least two clear working days' notice. One operator guide quotes 48 to 72 hours for commercial landing permits. Passenger manifests and passport details are needed in advance, and visas depend on nationality.
When you charter a private jet, check these points with the operator:
- For a commercial flight, the operator must hold an Aircraft Operator Certificate and Airworthiness Certificate from the GCAA or another recognised authority.
- Foreign commercial operators also need GCAP and NAIC registration before the Dubai landing permit.
- Insurance must meet UAE minimums. One guide cites USD 150M war-risk cover for commercial operations as a common rejection reason.
- Documents must stay valid for the whole itinerary, not just at application.
What is the security and airspace situation right now?
Check this before you commit. Dubai's airports suspended operations on 28 February 2026 as regional airspace closed, and the UAE later lifted the restrictions it had operated under since late February. Strikes then resumed across the region from 8 July. In mid-September, DXB and DWC were open, with no nationwide closure announced, but individual flights can still be delayed or rerouted at short notice. EASA has extended its Persian Gulf conflict-zone guidance to 16 November 2026. SWISS has postponed its Dubai resumption to 25 November.
In practice, build in date flexibility and ask the operator how it assesses the risk. Also read your own government's travel advice. The UK's currently warns of possible flight cancellations and periodic airspace closures. Conditions change quickly, so confirm them again close to departure.
How to get the best result from a Dubai private jet hire
- Fix passenger count and luggage first. This decides the aircraft class, and so most of the price.
- Ask for nonstop confirmation in writing. Get the aircraft type, the planned fuel stop if any, and the payload assumption.
- Choose DWC unless you have a reason not to. Ask whether the aircraft stays on the ramp or repositions.
- Ask where the aircraft is based. A jet already in Singapore avoids positioning charges.
- Request an all-in quote. It should itemise landing, handling, permits, catering and any waiting or overnight charges.
If you are comparing options for a specific date, our Singapore to Dubai route guide has the sector in more detail. You can also request a quote with your dates and passenger count.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a private jet flight from Singapore to Dubai?
Most long-range and ultra-long-range jets cover the roughly 3,400 nautical miles in about 6 hours 30 minutes to 7 hours 20 minutes, depending on aircraft and winds. A Gulfstream G550 is typically quoted at around 6 hours 45 minutes. The fastest scheduled airline nonstop takes about 7 hours 10 minutes.
Which Dubai airport should a private jet use, Al Maktoum or DXB?
Most business aviation uses Al Maktoum International (DWC/OMDW). It is open 24 hours, is not Level 3 slot-coordinated and has ramp space. Dubai International (DXB) accepts private jets, but every movement needs an allocated slot, so schedules must be fixed early.
How much does a private jet to Dubai from Singapore cost?
As an estimate, a one-way sector of about seven hours in an ultra-long-range jet costs roughly $84,000 to $175,000 or more in flight time. That is seven hours multiplied by published 2026 hourly ranges of about $12,000 to $25,000 and up. Handling, permits, catering and positioning are extra.
Can a midsize private jet fly Singapore to Dubai nonstop?
Generally no. At about 3,400 nautical miles, the sector sits at or beyond the practical range of most midsize jets with passengers on board. Some super-midsize and long-range types can manage it with limited payload. Larger groups should expect a technical stop or choose a G550-class aircraft.
